Douglas Cordeaux is Managing Director of Fox Brothers & Co in Wellington, Somerset, which has been producing flannel since 1772.

In this interview for British Textile Week, Douglas explains the history of Fox Flannels, dating back to the English Civil War and the significance of the company’s “West of England Flannel” and “West of England Tweed”. He talks about the successes of challenges of the British textile industry, the unique respect the Japanese, in particular, have for British quality products and how the company connects with a new and younger audience using social media and its collaborations with brands including Adidas.
