About the Track:
"generation 3" represents the midpoint of the evolutionary process, where complexity begins to accelerate noticeably. Multiple sonic elements now coexist and interact, creating relationships and tensions that were impossible in the earlier, simpler states. The organism is taking shape.

This piece demonstrates how increasing the quantity, order, and variety of musical elements transforms the listening experience. What began as sparse and elemental in generation 1 has now developed multiple voices, each with its own character and trajectory. The modified saxophone of Chem XP's late father breathes through the electronics, adding ancestral depth to the evolving sonic architecture.

The Album Concept:
"(re)generations" is a sonic archetype for growth, tracing six iterations from origin to maturity. Each generation adds layers of density and complexity, mirroring biological and conceptual evolution. The album integrates personal history with theoretical frameworks, creating work that is both intellectually rigorous and emotionally resonant.

The Artist:
Chem XP (Chaz Washington) is a multimedia artist and experimental musician based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His multidisciplinary practice includes sound, sculpture, graphic design, installations, projections, and fashion. Formerly Art Director for aNoise, he continues to push boundaries through innovative approaches to art and music.
