If you have black poop during pregnancy, it can be due to iron supplements or antibiotics that you are taking.

But, if you have dark black or tarry stool, it can be a sign of digestive issues or bleeding in the digestive tract.

And if your poop is light or clay colored, then it can be due to problems in the liver or gallbladder.
