YEMA TART | Quick And Easy Yema Tart Recipe

Filipino Yema Tart is a crusted soft, chewy, milky candy wrapped in colored cellophane. Its surface hardens just enough to give the candy some structure. But as soon as you bite into it, it melts in your mouth with a buttery crust taste.

Ingredients:
1/3 cup butter, softened
2 tbsp sugar
1 eggyolk
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup all purpose flour

for the yema filling:
3 eggyolks
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 big can (300ml) condensed milk
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp cornstarch (optional)
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup chopped nuts
