The Giant Geode of Pulpí is a true natural wonder. Formed by gypsum crystals, some nearly two metres tall and transparent, it is a unique phenomenon that you can explore from your rural accommodation at Sol de Taberno. From there, you can easily visit the site where this impressive geode is located.
It is known to have formed in two phases: first, the creation of the cavity through the karstification of the dolomites in the Sierra del Aguilón, combined with hydrothermal injections of volcanic nature; and second, a mineral deposit that occurred within this cavity.
You have the opportunity to book a group visit to the Pulpí Geode and delve into the depths of the earth to see firsthand the wonders created within..
