Atlantic Puffins

Описание к видео Atlantic Puffins

Can you imagine being able to ‘fly’ underwater? Yes, it seems contradictory, yet it happens every day in Loro Parque. Do you want to know how? Atlantic puffins are interesting animals that live in the upper part of the northern hemisphere, such as the Greenlandic coast, northern Canada, Iceland, northern Scandinavia and Russia, Ireland and even the northwestern coast of France.

Puffins are not only able to fly with their wings, they can also use them, as do the penguins when swimming under water! This is a very useful ability for a marine bird, especially when the puffins winter far from the coast and when they hunt underwater for fish.
