An emotional song I wrote to honour my best friend who died in his sleep the night of December 8th 2014.
The following morning, I was on my street trying to come to terms with the news when suddenly, from out of nowhere a tiny white feather fluttered down right in front of me.
Was it a sign? I don't know... I'd like to think it was.
They say it is a sign from an Angel.
Since then, I have met many people who have had a tiny feather appear from nowhere - sometimes even indoors.
I hope you like my song.
A FEATHER FROM THE SKY by Jon Barker
A Feather from the sky,
Fluttered by,
The day you said, ‘Goodbye,’
No birds were in the sky,
Just a tear in my eye,
It was your way of saying, ‘Goodbye.’
Tiny feather so pure and white,
Sent to tell me that you’re alright,
Not to worry, not to cry,
I’m sending you my love
In a feather from the sky.
A feather from the sky,
Fluttered by,
To tell me that you’re OK,
No matter where you are,
Weather near to me or far,
You’re only a whisper away.
Tiny feather so pure and white,
Sent to tell me that you’re alright,
Not to worry, not to cry,
I’m sending you my love
In a feather from the sky.
Don’t know why you had to go so soon,
I just don’t understand,
Maybe you were needed more more up there,
And and it’s time for me to stand alone.
Tiny feather so pure and white,
Sent to tell me that you’re alright,
Not to worry, not to cry,
I’m sending you my love
In a feather from the sky.
