In this video you see that there’s a lot that has to be approved before any hardware could be installed on the roof.

After you decide what size system you want the approval process begins.

So I sat down with the Project Manager to follow along the process.

You will need to sign your utility companies net metering agreement.

Have the proper homeowners insurance if your utility company requires it.

After the design array is created we sent the one line diagram and solar array design to my Homeowners Association along with my roof color selection which they first denied the color.

I don’t live inside city limits so I didn’t need city permits.

This took about 30-45 days.

On the next video I’ll explain how I sized my system!
