Entre nous by Kay Johannsen | Katarzyna Myćka, marimba & Jens Wollenschläger, organ

„Entre nous“ is the first piece for this combination of instruments written by Kay Johannsen (*1961) - German organist, harpsichordist, conductor and choir-master.
Three colourful movements explore and present a beautiful dialog between marimba and organ, starting with a single note of the marimba, in the development using the full range of both instruments. Last part of the piece can be considered as a ragtime-like and is a perfect final work of the possible concert program.

„Entre nous“ has a special meaning to me, because its premiere in August 2018 crossed musical paths of Jens Wollenschläger and myself and I’m thankful for our fruitful collaboration.
