Prior to the release of 'Pathaan,' Manu Bhai Patel, the president of the Gujarat Multiplex Association, sent a request to Chief Minister Bhupendra Bhai Patel and Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi questioning the security measures at movie theatres. Manu Bhai Patel requested security for the Pathaan movie in a letter to the chief minister and the home minister. On January 25, the movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone is scheduled to be released. According to reports, the movie is now being shown in theatres after being approved by the censor board. However, a lot of groups have threatened to attack theatres once it opens.
