Debanhi Susana Escobar Bazaldua was a beautiful 18-year-old law student who disappeared from General Escobedo, Nuevo León, Mexico on April 9, 2022, her remains were found in a cistern of a motel in General Escobedo 13 days later. The body had visible signs of violence. Her case triggered unrest in Mexico after a picture of her standing on a road on the night of her disappearance went viral on social media. The case, investigated by the Nuevo León prosecutor's office as a femicide,[3] happened amid a crisis of missing women in Nuevo León and throughout Mexico. Her case shocked her community and made international news. There are several discrepancies in the stories that her friends who were last with her. There are more questions than answers to this day. Even with all of the footage of her leading up to her disappearance, it still does not make sense. The disappearance case went viral on social media and sparked protests in Mexico. Her family deserves answers and Debanhi deserves justice!
