Learning how to braid mens hair is a bit different than women. Men tend to be less likely to wash and condition their own hair, so expect to need to do that first 🤷🏽‍♀️ Braids on kinky low porosity hair require attention to detail with regards to moisture/strength. Many times, low porosity hair clients don't understand the NEED to deep condition with heat, thereby leading them to dried out hair overly soaked with oils/greases (which make it worse), and as a result, they develop damaged hair. Sometimes protein is lost along the way as well, but usually, extreme breakage on low porosity hair is a result of a lack of proper moisture.
