For me, this is the most fun method to get hold of a tonne of purple modifications. Given I am level 50 with all the best weapons, this is still possible at lower levels. If you are able to knock off a thunderjaw's disc launcher and freeze it, you will manage just fine. Stockpiling the disc launchers will allow each run to go faster and faster. Happy farming!
