The Grand Ancestor of the Miao people - CHIYOU 蚩尤

Thank to a wonderful Miao historian, scholar, and mother Zhang Xiao for compiling and researching about the Miao history, culture, oral traditions, and people. Zhang Xiao was able to connect all Miao groups together using her fieldwork, secondary sources and cultural elements.

This video is about "Chiyou," a heroic figure continues to be venerated to this day among all Miao groups, despite some difficulties in communication and some cultural differences between the various Miao groups.
