FBI Special Agent Alexis Hatten ended up handcuffed and detained in the back of Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Rolf Gordon's patrol car while investigating possible corruption in the small town of Carrabelle, in rural Florida.

The Sheriff's office claim that Hatten came up on a terrorist watch list when they tried to make sure his legitimacy, and that was the reason for the detention. During the detention Hatten yelled for the deputies to turn on the A/C, because he was "smoking" in the car.

Hatten was released when his supervisor called and confirmed that he actually was an FBI-agent. At this point he asked for medical attention, and complained over heat stroke-like symptoms. One deputy questioned the validity his distress by saying “And the nominee for best actor ...”

After some posturing from the Sheriff to the media, where he defended the deputies action, FBI and the sheriff's office had a sit-down to find out why things transpired like they did.
