Indian Independence Movement in Japan (帝国に移行した頃)

Описание к видео Indian Independence Movement in Japan (帝国に移行した頃)

Rash Behari Bose is often confused with Subhas Chandra Bose, or referred to as "the other Bose." However, the reality is that he was the original founder of the Indian Independence League and the Indian National Army, and was one of the chief figures in the fight for Indian independence. With the full support of Japan, Bose lived in Tokyo until his passing in 1945, dedicating himself to the decolonization of India, and of the whole of Asia.

This video also explores Japan's unique position as the only Asian nation that had been never colonized. Having her own government and military, Japan was one of the world's leaders in economy, industry and technology.

Immediately after Japan's victory in the Russo-Japanese war, leaders from throughout Asia rushed to Japan to secure Japanese aid and support in their fight for independence from Western colonizers -- among them was Rash Behari Bose.
