As a Mac user, you may have come across the error message "the file is not compatible with QuickTime Player" when trying to run WMV files with QuickTime.

A WMV file stands for Windows Media Video and it was a file type developed by Microsoft, exclusively for Windows operating systems. Hence why if you have a Mac, it's not compatible with Quicktime.

You can play files in Elmedia Player library like so:
