The key to building quality retrofit headlights is symmetry and repeatability. My approach to building custom automotive headlights is to build a cad model of the desired projector bracket. This takes all the guess work out of the retrofitting process. Then, I make a template of where I need to drill the headlight housing in order to attach my 3d printed brackets in my desired location and orientation. This template can be flipped and used on the other side headlight. The bracket building process is by far the longest and most difficult of the entire process. But, the good part is that i only have to do this process one time and i can print as many brackets as I need. Then the rest of the process is simple, cut off any interfering bits on the headlight and put everything together! Thank you for watching!
