"Climbing the Sentinel South Ridge" is about moderate alpine rock climbing with glacier approaches in the Durrand Glacier - Mt. Moloch Area, Northern Selkirk Mountains BC Canada. This unknown area has some of the best alpine rock routes in Canada and offers a huge variety of different climbs in a high alpine setting. 259 alpine routes on warm alpine granite and steep alpine ice faces, from single pitch cragging routes to the 54 pitch Innominata Ridge or the 5 km long ridge climb "Dances on the Fringe", routes range from 4th class scrambles to the 5.14 Redlight District put up by Tommy Caldwell. The Durrand Glacier - Mt. Moloch Area is truly an unknown alpine gem. It is remote and accessible only by helicopter from Revelstoke, no lining up on the climbs and it is real. Ruedi Beglinger (ACMG / IFMGA Mountain Guide), who has established this 5 Star alpine climbing area also runs the local guiding company and owns the alpine huts in this area, Selkirk Mountain experience.
