Lately, I find myself caught between inspiration and exhaustion. There’s a pull to create, to try new things, to keep pushing forward. But at the same time, there’s the weight of everything else. The list of things that need doing, the quiet pressure of responsibilities, all of it filling up the space where ideas used to flow freely. Sometimes you start something, but the next thought is already waiting in the wings, and it’s hard to tell which way to move without feeling like you’re falling behind.

It started as just a few notes on the Strat. Didn’t think much of it — just something to fill the time. Cut it up, reversed some parts, let others decay. Laid it against a break that felt like something ticking in the background. Didn’t want it to resolve. Just wanted it to sit there, looping through whatever it needed to. Built this one on the SP404MK2. Guitar was played live, then chopped, reversed, filtered. The break came from an old drum pack, shaped till it felt uneasy in the right way.
