Mercedes ASR Light, Limp Mode, No Acceleration - List of 10 Fixes - 1990s Benz R129, W124, W140

Diagnostic video on the ASR light, its symptoms and 10 DIY fixes. The ASR light will make the car undriveable because of weak acceleration. Diagnosing the ASR can be difficult, as such I have put together this video to help with the diagnosis by first providing a good understanding of the ASR light and its usually accompanied ABS light, and then providing 10 known fixes for the ASR.

ASR was an early form of traction control.

Video applicable to most R129 SL, including the 500SL, 300SL, 320, most W124, W140, W201 and for many other 1980s and 1990s Mercedes-Benz, including those with KE-Jetronic.
