Patch notes: Nerdseq Launchpad beta firmware.
Showing writing gate sequences at the beginning and then jumping out of nerdseq control mode and into the Launchpad pro’s keyboard mode to record cv sequences. Then jumping back into lauchpad control mode to launch new patterns (as well as empty patterns, to record new parts).
Nerdseq sequence channels 1-6:
Chan 1: synthesized kick drum using CS-L and envelopes from befaco rampage.
Chan 2: noise percussion/snare sound coming from ssf entity percussion. Runs through strymon magneto.
Chan 3: bass sound, pads, and fm sounds. There’s a lot going on with this voice(s). Mainly it’s the bass line (ssf wmd spectrum oscillator through ssf wmd zero pole filter) but another waveform out of spectrum is going to Starling VIA Sync creating a synced voice moving with the baseline. This is the sound at the very beginning, smooth wave tables. VIA’s scale is modulated by stepped random (which gives you random quantized notes transposed by the bassline). VIA’s output then goes to the 4ms dual delay and Erica synths black hole dsp2, which turns the VIA’s output into a lush pad when I turn up the black hole’s reverb. The gate output of this channel is also triggering the fm sounds I turn up around 2:10 min in. This is one channel of the the stereo dipole filter self resonating and being modulated by lfos being modulated by stepped random, triggered my Nerdseq Chan 3’s gate.
Chan 4: Main drum sounds in the patch. Chopped Drum break slices in the er301 sequenced by Nerd. This er301 output also runs through VoicAs LedRover distortion/overdrive module. It then goes into the DLD’s second channel, with the random source vcfq in its feedback path, adjusted manually throughout.
Chan 5: Chopped melodic guitar/strings sample sequenced by nerdseq.
Chan 6: chopped vocal sample sequences by nerdseq.
