Built for former Chairman of Aston Martin, Mr Victor Gauntlett and first registered AML 1. The car we are delighted to offer is 1 of the 22 cars, built to the PoW (Prince of Wales) specification. Originally conceived to satisfy the request of HRH The Prince of Wales, the specifications of this model included, unique coachwork, Vantage ‘X’ pack engine, Vantage chassis specifications, 5 speed manual transmission and unique interior appointments. First registered in January 1989 and finished in Balmoral Green with Tan hides piped green and matching fabric roof, a combination synonymous with this model.

Maintained by Aston Martin prior to being sold and exported in 1990, for display an the Autopolis Motor Museum in Japan. Re-imported to the UK in 1999, subsequent maintenance has been entrusted to respected Aston Martin Heritage specialists R S Williams and ourselves. Works have included an engine upgrade to 7.0ltr - 510bhp lead free specifications, suspension and braking upgrades. An extensive and highly detailed history file containing original and copy invoices, factory records and handbooks accompany this highly desirable and excellent condition example.
