Duracell Ion speed 8000 charger and some indepth info.

Talking about a first gen Duracell Ion charger. The Ion speed 8000 with active fan cooling. A upgrade to the first generation 15min charger, but this will slow charge batteries after their in their 'ready to use' state to bring their 80-85% capacity up to 100%, which will take a optional amount of time. Energizer had sold similar 15min charger, and Rayovac did similar by using a I-C3 charger which had special chipped batteries, that could charge in 15mins (cannot 15min charge any other NIMH. they will take overnight charging.). Which seemed they also sold to Radioshake for their same charger. Back when Duracell had it's first 15min charger. But this Ion 8000 is their 2et 15min charger, and much more improved and better.

It still uses it's 16volt system, which means it uses a AC to DC power brick wall connector that's a all in 1unit, with just the DC cable coming out. But you can also use your own 12volt DC out to the duracell charger for mobile charging. But do be aware these Fast chargers need a FULL stable post, Any small off balance vibration and the fans get out of balanced and cause a grind sound/reduce speed. And won't cool the batteries correctly while charging. So keep aware of this.
