This video discusses about the OSRAM IR LED driver circuit design using simple 2 NPN BJT Transistors BC547 and BD139. The one of the transistor acts to supply current to the LED while the current sense resistor would generate the bias voltage at the base of other transistor hence that transistor would shunt the base current from the main transistor thus limiting the current through LED. The circuit is simulated using DC sweep analysis, DC op point analysis, temperature sweep analysis. Supply voltage swept from 5V to 12V while the temperature swept from 0C to 100C with 10C steps.

This video also shows DC forward bias characteristic curve of OSRAM IR LED SFH4550. The knee voltage was found to be slightly less than 1.2V using semi log plot and linear sweep of DC source.
