From 18th November – 3rd December 2021, Paul Insect arrived in Amsterdam to exhibit the results of more than a year lived between novel circumstance and old routine.

New paintings and sculptures appeared alongside their associated effects, effects which – from jig dolls and studio debris to video snippets and polaroid frames – acted at once as reference, document and artwork.

Avant Arte believes in a new age where art is becoming more and more unrestrained, a time where the traditional rules and boundaries of the definition of art have been blurring. Art has been becoming a more ‘social’ and fluid experience, opposed to a conceptual object that is assigned value by institutions and influencers.
