Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Blind Spot Monitoring System for the 30 foot long towable campers, travel trailers, and 5th wheels. Now, this system will monitor blind spots for increased safety, while you're traveling with a towable camper, a travel trailer, or 5th wheel setup. This kit here is compatible with most of the 30 foot long trailer types, does include a 30 foot long trailer harness, and the system will work in areas with low reception, such as in tunnels or mountains. Does include everything laid out here on the table. Wanna zoom in and show you the pieces here.

We'll start with this display indicator with the mounting bracket. This display indicator will show all the operations of the system, and this mounting bracket will let you install it where you're able to see it, either connect it to your windshield or you can turn it around, apply it to your dash, whichever works for you, and it is fully adjustable. Also comes with this control unit right here, comes with both the left and right radar sensors and the gaskets for installation, all the system harnesses you need, even this OBD-II harness, comes with the hardware and connectors for installation, and a nice set of detailed installation and operation guide. Now, the monitor right here, this LED monitor will provide nice audio and visual alerts. The indicators will alert you to which side of the warning by blinking and admitting an audible tone for that side.

Now, these sensors right here, these are radar sensors, they are marked left and right, they are equipped with blind spot detection and lane change alert systems. These are designed to mount at the rear corners of your trailer. They do use a radar frequency of 24 gigahertz. The blind spot detection monitors, the adjacent lanes for up to 75 feet, and they'll automatically activate when the vehicle exceeds 15 miles per hour. The lane change alert monitors adjacent lanes, it'll indicate when vehicles are within the warning zone, and it will activate with the use of the turn signals when, again, the vehicles exceed 15 miles an hour.

It will even detect vehicles approaching at high speeds within two seconds of potential impact, and we mentioned, it's a very simple installation with all the included connectors and wiring, we mentioned the OBD-II connector, this is designed to work with your vehicle's diagnostic system to ensure accurate readings. They do use automotive grade weather tight connectors on the wiring harness and everywhere else, and this does have an ISO 17387 Type 3 blind spot detection system standards compliant.
