In October of 2019, GoPro co-founder Neil Dana decided to bless Bandwagon Music Center, a Kauai-based non-profit organization specializing in music education for youth, with $18K worth of new instruments, recording gear, and more.

Dana, a Kauai resident, became aware of Bandwagon after observing the non-profit's courtesy shuttle picking up kids at his daughter's school. He then contacted program director Jeremy Hartshorn who invited him for a visit to Bandwagon's facility. During the visit Dana surmised that, while the concept of Bandwagon was solid, the gear and instruments were in desperate need of an upgrade.

As a result, Dana volunteered to purchase new drums for the center and suggested that Hartshorn send him a list of other "wish list" items from the kids and staff at Bandwagon. Much to Hartshorn's surprise, Dana purchased the entire list!

When the boxes arrived, the Bandwagon staff stacked them all on the stage before the kids arrived. After school, the kids came pouring in to find the towering wall of boxes. The kids were stunned! After an explanation from the staff, every one worked together to unbox all the new equipment.

It's was an incredible experience for all who were there. We did our best to capture the moment on video.
