He has earned critical acclaim for roles in Philomena, Stan & Ollie and The Reckoning, in which he played Jimmy Savile, and is back on the West End stage after a 28-year hiatus for a sold-out run of Dr Strangelove. His new Channel 4 drama, Brian and Maggie, is out now.
