We come to you today to with sad news to report. It is with heavy heart that we bring you the announcement that unfortunately the DSA Pittsburgh 2021 has been officially canceled.

We were surprised to see the email sent earlier today by the hotel announcing the cancellation before we, the Pittsburgh conference board, were able to share this information with you.

This decision was not an easy one. About one month ago, we reached out to the hotel sharing our concerns regarding the ongoing COVID19 pandemic and the safety of you, our attendees. Until today, we were still waiting for their response. Due to the on-going PA State of Emergency and the capacity limitations hosting a conference of our size is not safe and we do not want to put you all at risk. The hotel has accepted our conference committee emergency meeting decision to cancel the conference due to COVID19 concerns. And while we are glad everyone will remain safe, we are very disappointed. And were taken by surprise that the hotel contacted all of you before we were able to notify you and for that we are sorry.

The Pittsburgh committee has been working very hard to play this conference for the last 4 years. We’ve worked very hard to plan the tours and events we were all looking forward to. As you’re aware COVID19 is still a dangerous virus impacting businesses, schools, events and people all over the world.
