Dr. Animesh Upadhyay is currently a PGY1
Obstetrics and Gynecology resident.
Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Yale Cancer Center in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences.
His research involved patient cell lines with Uterine Cancer and Lynch syndrome with mismatch repair (MMR) mutations, focusing on different MMR mutations and the effects of anti-cancer drugs on these cell lines. Dr. Upadhyay received his MD (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) from Government Medical College, Kolhapur, India. After completing the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), he joined Yale in 2021. Dr. Upadhyay believes in the power of mentorship and how effective mentoring can help aspiring medical professionals who will follow in his footsteps.
