In todays video we are taking a look at my personal experience with both the Nomad Modern Strap for the Apple Watch 42mm/44mm and the Nomad Rugged Leather Case for the iPhone 12 Pro. Unlike other videos I have found online sharing first impressions and test fitting of the products, this will be a real world and personal experience after using the Nomad Accessories for 2+ months. Now, of course these opinions are my own and you may either agree or disagree; however, I felt these opinions were worth a unique share.

Nomad Modern Strap:
I absolutely love this strap! It's sleek, modern, and ultra comfortable. I think Nomad nailed everything from packaging to actual product, and there is little I do not like about this strap (More on that later). After 2 months, the leather has really come to life and shown unique wear and has become more and more flexible with every passing day. It has taken water well, and I have not had any dye leak onto my skin causing stains like other cheaper watch straps. My only issues with this strap are mainly around the mounting brackets. For me personally, they stand off the watch a little farther than I would have liked them two. Although the appearance compliments the Space Gray color of my watch exceptionally, the larger form factor makes the watch much wider than it was from the factory, causing it to look a little funny and causes a little more rotation on my wrist than the included OEM band my watch came with. Along with the form factor, the mounting hardware is much looser than the factory hardware, causing the vibration motor to sound distant and like a tin case due to the small air gaps along each side causing it to rattle with the vibration motors built into the watch itself. This is forgivable, but still very noticeable.

Nomad Rugged Leather Case:
Let me start by saying that this case LOOKS beautiful. The leather is soft and supple to the touch, and also patina's exceptionally well to help give unique character to the case itself. The textured power button is a plus to aid in locking and unlocking the device, and the triple (Or dual on the iPhone 12) lens array seems well protected under the camera bump limp of the case. Where this falls apart for me is the FEEL of the case, as it is just too damn slippery! The harder and thinner sides of the case are more of a hard plastic than a rubber, and there is no texture to aid in case handling. I don't know how many times I have almost dropped my phone when hand holding it or attempting to put it into or take it out of my pocket. This is a similar story with the back leather. Although it is supple to the touch, there is no substance here to aid in handling the case/device. A simple correction in my opinion would be to either add texture to the sides of the case, or redesign the sides out of a softer rubber than a harder plastic. Because of these reasons, I tend to switch back to my Otterbox Aneu more often than I thought I would.
