We have here an Omega Seamaster 2848 / 2846 from 1954 with fabulous patina to the original Original dial. Over its 71 years the dial has aged to almost a pumpkin patina which we feel does not detract as We always love the uniqueness of patina, It makes a watch individual and confirms originality. The dial has Arabic numerals 3- 9 and 12 along with facet spearhead hour markers and alpha hour, minute hands. Subsidiary seconds dial down at 6ocolck with no date window The dial is signed 'Omega, automatic, Seamaster with the famous, Omega logo at 12 o'clock in almost a pyramid style. £1450

The 34mm, stainless steel, clip-back case is a comfortable wear for both him and her. We love the chunkier, 1950s case designs from Omega - they give the watch real personality. We particularly love the slightly fatter lugs of this particular piece, which gives the watchb a slightly more contemporary feel. Note the fresh and still sharp Boxed seamaster text along with waterproof on the case back .Inside is the automatic Omega caliber 471, fully serviced by us and running strongly. We've paired the watch on a brown leather strap with stitch detail to keep it as an every day watch, but it looks stunning dressed up on black too.

What we think
The dial and mixed numeral's are what drew us in to this watch, granted any vintage Seamaster with these fat lugs I adore! If you're looking for an affordable, attractive and reliable vintage watch, you'd be pushed to find a better example. Perfect for the vintage watch newbie but also a must-have for a seasoned collector. Any pumpkin fans out there? Probably one of my favourite additions to stock this month.
