As we departed Greenwater, we got a wild idea. The day was still somewhat young and we had time to kill so we decided to give Stampede Pass a shot for some additional camp scouting. We had no idea how far up the Pass we would make it, since when Abi had been up several days prior the trail had been blocked by several trees. As we continued to climb we started passing cleared trees and began to realize that we were likely some of the first of the 2023 Season to cross the Pass. Though it was another 13.5hr day of driving, the views, and company made it all worth it. Now hopefully we'll eventually get to see Stampede on a blue bird day instead of being drenched every time we try to head out.
