Keeping Canadians Safe: Emergency Legislation in Canada

Municipal, Provincial and Federal governments each have emergency legislation in place. This legislation enables them to take special temporary measures to ensure the safety and security of their citizens during an emergency, such as the emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
