So after we couldn’t do Greenwich the day before because of the heatwave, we went back again on the 17th. It was still another heatwave, but this time we had hats, sunscreen, and lots of water, so we felt way more prepared.

We got on the trail and made it to the bridge, and that’s when Wednesday decided she was in one of those moods. We wouldn’t give her candy or let her do what she wanted, so she threw her hat right into the river… and there was a sign right there saying not to go in the water. So that hat was gone. Then Dexter gave her his hat, she threw that one too. Then I gave her my hat, and I’m pretty sure she tossed that one as well 😅

We finally got down to the beach and found this really cool little shelter someone built with little tables and everything. We splashed around in the water for a bit but it was already hitting 30 something degrees, so we didn’t stay long because it took a while just to get down there.

On the way back, Wednesday was on my shoulders grabbing at a hawthorn berry, I wasn’t even sure if she ate it, but I figured it was bitter so she probably spit it out. She was covered in boogers, Dexter kept thinking he saw coyotes everywhere, Oliver kept trying to pick up random mushrooms when he wasn’t on camera, and Paisley and Oliver were fighting over a stick so I took it away. It was a little chaotic…

…but we still made the best of it.
