In this video, we head out on a short but exciting overlanding trip to the Big Cypress Preserve in the heart of the Florida Everglades! We explore the scenic Loop Road, a 24-mile drive that offers stunning views and the chance to spot some incredible wildlife, including alligators (which we definitely saw!). 🐊

The Loop Road is accessible to any vehicle, with the first section being paved and the rest a graded road. If you're driving east to west, keep an eye out for some potholes towards the end. While it can get flooded in the summer, we had no issues during our December trip.

As we made our way through the preserve, we were amazed by the number of alligators we spotted along the way. It was an unforgettable experience to see these creatures up close in their natural habitat.

We also spent the night camping at Midway Campground, located just off the Tamiami Trail. It was the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of the Everglades.
