Stronghold's quirky charm is fading — and I want it back. In this retrospective, I take a nostalgic dive into the original Stronghold and its sandy sibling Stronghold Crusader and spotlight one of its most underrated characters: Drunkards. Drunkards added humor, personality, and immersive medieval life to the game.

I'll be explore how newer titles like Stronghold Crusader 2 and Stronghold Warlords abandond the character of the drukard and also how mothers and babies were dumbed down througout the series, and why it’s time for Firefly Studios to bring back the detail, dark humor, and village sim depth that made the original Stronghold a classic.
