In this video I show you a couple of fuel treatments that you can use to keep your scooter engine running smoothly. This is my Kymco People GT 300i, but the same applies to any scooter. In the US, it's common to encounter gas stations that serve up-to-10%-ethanol fuel only, including the premium higher octane fuels. This means you could be putting ethanol into your carburetor, which means it will get fouled up and "gummed" up, causing engine hesitation, bogging down, loss of acceleration and power. You can find fuel treatments such as Lucas ethanol "eater", which removes ethanol from the fuel system. If you've already experienced loss of power, you can use Seafoam or Chemtool B-12 to clean out the carburetor.
