In this I Believe In A Thing Called Love guitar lesson video series, I will show you how to play all of this great guitar dominated rock song from The Darkness.

The tuning is standard tuning.

There are a lot of cool guitar parts in this one. From the extremely catchy riffs to the challenging guitar solos (there are 4 guitar solos in all), "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" is a classic of guitar driven rock music.

In the first video lesson, I will show you how to play all of the rhythm guitar parts. There are some interesting chord voicings that are used along with single-note riffs. It is this mixture of using chords and single notes together in the same rhythm guitar part that makes this song so much fun to play.

In the second video lesson, I will show you note-for-note how to play each guitar solo. There are 4 solos in total.

Guitarist/lead vocalist Justin Hawkins plays the first, third and fourth solos and his brother, guitarist Dan Hawkins, plays the second solo.

Throughout these solos you will find some challenging techniques. Everything from cross-string arpeggios, double-stops, unison bends, fast legato licks and rapid-fire alternate picking pedal point licks. There is a lot of stuff to keep you practicing for a while.

The cool thing about these solos is just how musical they are. The entire song for that matter, is a lot of fun to play once you get it all together.

I hope you guys enjoy learning this great rock song from The Darkness! #ibelieveinathingcalledloveguitarlesson #thedarkness #guitarcovers
