Yeah that's right, you read the title right. We shall no longer refer to salamanders as "salamanders" I now dub them to be called "Derpy Amphibian Lizards"

Ok so the derpy amphibian lizard in this video is commonly known as a spotted-tailed salamander. And while identifying them is difficult (as shown in this video) they have a very distinct look when compared side by side to other cave salamander species. They are normally found at the mouths of springs, or inside limestone walls and caves. Because of their coloration, they do not camouflage very well. However, they spend most of their time hiding during the day, only to emerge shortly at night to hunt or to find a new home.
