Just outside Fallon, Nevada, are sand dunes left over from a glacial lake that dried up some 9,000 years ago. When it’s windy, the sands hum—it’s one of the few dunes in the world where you can hear this phenomenon.

Today, the two-mile-long, six-story-high dunes are the setting for off-roading adventures on dirt bikes, UTVs, and even sandboards. Some say it’s the best competition hill in the country, but don’t take our word for it—ride along for yourself by dragging around the video for a 360-degree view.
