Which hand should you wear a watch on is a question I am asked all the time. Generally speaking the answer is your non dominant hand. There are a couple of reasons for this. One is that your watch will be better protected on your non dominant hand since you tend to use it less throughout the day. Another is that it is often easier to check your watch on this hand while using the other to perform a task.

This is not a hard and fast rule however. There are right handed people who wear their watch on their right hand, and also left handed people who wear their watch on their left hand. There is also a difference between right handed and left handed watches. Because there are more right handed people, there are more right handed watches made than left handed watches.

I'm also often asked the question another way. Which hand should a woman wear her watch on? Which hand should a man wear his watch on? The answer is the same whether you are male or female.
