KOFFEE TRAINING VLOG #1: Koffee Kipper’s off-leash training with @dogtrainer_paige and he’s already rocking his big boy gear! 🐶

🐾 Today’s training was focused on introducing him to his e-collar. He wears it right now without any stimulation so he can get used to how it feels. The e-collar we’re using is the Mini Educator. It fits a little differently than a standard collar, and since some dogs aren’t used to wearing a snug collar consistently at home, it can be helpful to give them some time to adjust before we begin using it in training.

🐾 The way the collar works is by giving a gentle tapping sensation that we use to reinforce known commands. It’s not used to punish or correct out of the blue—instead, it’s part of a clear communication system that helps build consistency and reliability, especially in more distracting environments. When used properly, it’s a fair and low-pressure way to help dogs understand what’s being asked of them and gives them a better opportunity to succeed.

🐾 Trainer Paige also introduced four essential commands:
Come → Move toward handler when called.
Sit → Sit on command (easy, right?).
Place → Go to a designated spot (like a raised cot) and hold position until released.
Break → The release word, letting Koffee know he’s free to move after holding a command.
