In remembrance of Talip Ozkan

Описание к видео In remembrance of Talip Ozkan

Talip Özkan was a great master of the saz, a family of long-handled lutes like the baglama. Born of Avsar and Yörük (nomadic) parents, he studied in particular the traditions of these peoples. He broadened his knowledge through numerous field collections, traveling all over Anatolia to collect pearls of popular tradition. He had lived in Paris since 1976 where he taught the practice of these instruments with an astonishing passion. This concert is a tribute to this great master by his student Emre Gültekin along with other students Malte Stueck, Benjamin Stueck, Nilgun Aksoy, featuring guest musicians Güzin Şeker Topçu & Malabika Brahma.
