This week was national Daughter’s Day!

I thought I’d do a simple cover of not only a favorite song BUT the song we named our one and only daughter after.

We were told we wouldn't be able to have kids due to a condition my wife had. We lived with that reality for 5 years into our marriage. We were beginning to look into other possibilities for having kids when…

My wife got sick. We went into the hospital to get her checked out. I still remember the look we gave eachother when the doctor revealed the reason for her sickness.

She was pregnant.

Soon after we found it IT WAS A GIRL!

And now all of the sudden this couple who never thought they’d have kids needed to pick a name.

I remember exactly where we were. Sitting in our car at Green Hills Mall near Nashville. Right near the Barnes and Nobles. We just could not agree on a name…
