This was the last track that I decided on to be in Sno-stalgia. I realized that I probably should have saved Freezeezy Peak for the EP but I there was no way I would have know I would do this 2 years down the road. That being said, I still had really wanted to include something from the Banjo series and remembered that I hadn't done Hailfire yet! Thought it would be a good track since it really lends itself to a heavier feel which at this point I felt the album was lacking what with all of the jazz and clean stuff.

My college has a small practice room dedicated to just mallet instruments and I've been eyeing the room since I started going there. This cover finally gave me a chance to give the marimba a try! Now I'm not the best, hell I don't actually remember even playing them before, but I did my best to do the trills and stuff having no prior training on how to even hold the stick properly. Arrangementwise I really wanted to push the heavy feeling of the song and to really exploit the strange key of Harmonic Major. It really lets you be able to switch between major and minor very quickly by just changing the flat 6. I had some fun jumping between modes in this arrangement. :)
