The sequel, titled Chandni Bar 2, will be produced by R. Mohan, who had earlier expressed his desire to make a sequel to the film. The story of the sequel is still under wraps, but Azad has assured that it will be a "power-packed" film that will live up to the legacy of the original.

The casting for Chandni Bar 2 is yet to be finalized, but it is being said that Tabu may reprise her role as Mumtaz. The film is expected to go on floors in mid-2024 and is slated for a December 2025 release.
