Baking soda and Vinegar are two basic cleaning supplies that almost everyone has, so why go buy a test kit for $50 to figuring out you soils pH when you can use things you already have?

This is a fast, cheap, and easy option, but isn't very exact. If you're needing to get exact measurements, using a litmus strip if a good way to go that is pretty cheap!
