In this video Matt and Kevin show you how to build a cage to fit a C10 Chevy truck. We start with a custom fitting while the customer is in the C10 truck. To do this we used our template tools. Cutting and fitting the templates together to ensure the roll cage was going to fit around all the interior components and satisfy the customers requirements. Once the customer approves it is time to build the cage to the templates.

We start by cutting all the roll cage tubing to the length the templates indicate. Once done we mark where the bends will go and begin the bending process. Checking each bend as we go against the templates we built earlier.

Once the tubes for the roll cage are made we now have to attach them to the C1 truck floor. To do this we will need some floor plates. This is easy and with a little cardboard and some bending the floor plates are made.

Fitting the tubes in place is easy with our tube positioners. They hold the roll cage in place before any tack welds are applied. Once tack welded in place we continue this process till all the tubes are made.

For some tubes we needed to install joints in order to make the cage come apart. We also used a few different techniques for the tube coping. In some cases we used our DIY tube coping machine, and in other cases our Tube Tracer. We would follow up with a little trial and error test fitting.

The tabs for all the seat belt mounts where easy with our Universal Tab Positioner and our String Line Tool. We used the string line tool to help put all the tabs the same plain and be inline. The universal tab positioner held the tabs in place while we tack welded them. Once tack welded we could remove the tab positioner and finish welding everything.

To give the roll cage it's final touches. We painted and installed a name plate for the roll cage. These little touches made for a clean good looking finished product. The customer was very happy and so where we.
